Kibblestone Scout Camp
We’ve helped the Scout Camp clear fallen trees on the old upper path, and together with the restoration work by the Scout Camp, has enabled us to re-introduce the “traditional” upper path route, replacing the recent “scramble” through the trees. The new section, whist rising to a similar elevation, is more “runnable” on both the uphill and downhill sections. We’ve also cleared the old fallen tree from the lower section by the stream – this had become more of an issue after the land under it was burrowed/washed away, meaning we’d struggle to Klamber over it as usual
The Scout Camp are in the process of clearing new paths further along the stream on the lower section, including the most splendid section by the cliffs in the photo below. This work is planned to be completed ahead of our race and if so we’ll including this new section and changing to a 2 lap course, from the traditional 3 laps.
